Tips to Clean Juice Stains from Carpet

  2. Take a cleaning cloth and moist it well with the cleaning solution. To make a cleaning solution, you need to take One teaspoon of natural detergent and mix it up with one teaspoon of white vinegar and 1-quart cold water.
  3. Press the bottom of the cloth gently on the cloth, working from the outside towards the middle. This method will allow you to work the solution into the stain without damaging the carpet fibres or rubbing the stain.
  4. Repeat if necessary, using a clean cloth each time until the stain is invincible.
  5. Apply 3% hydrogen peroxide then ammonia, if the juice spilt on the carpet is of cranberry and start blotting. But avoid using ammonia if your carpet is made up of wool or oriental rugs because it will damage the fibres.
  6. Spray with a rinsing
  7. Using a clean cloth blot the area to remove.
  8. Spray some clean water.
  9. To remove all the cleaning solution, you need to blot it with the clean cloth and repeat as necessary.
  10. Cover the stain with a clean cloth and put some heavy weight on top.
  11. Leave the set for several hours, so that it absorbs any remaining liquid.
  12. Remove the weights and cloth and let the area air dry.
  13. Vacuum it thoroughly to restore the carpet texture when the spot has dried completely.

  • If you are carpet is a light coloured one, and you are trying to remove tomato juice then you can apply hydrogen peroxide or fresh lemon juice to the fresh stain, it will help the carpet return to its normal colour.
  • Make sure you use cold water because warm water speeds up the setting process and can make it difficult for you to remove the stains.
  • Avoid using laundry detergent or automatic dishwasher detergents as they might damage the fibres of your carpet.
  • If your carpet is made up of wool, then avoid using bleach or ammonia as it might damage the carpet fibres.
